Gorion's ward finds Zaviak on his vision quest in Elfsong Tavern in Chapter 7 (SoD), seeing himself in the Waterdeep sewers when you talk to him. After some conversations, he'll give the Spectacles of Spectacle to the party and let them continue his vision quest instead.
