Baldur's Gate Wiki

The Werewolf Warrens, also known as the Werewolf Caverns, are a series of warrens underneath the Werewolf Village at the southern end of the Isle of Balduran. Gorion's Ward and their party use these tunnels to make it to Kaishas Gan's boat and escape the Isle of Balduran after Tailas turns the villagers against them. These warrens are the only way to reach the boat and return to the mainland.

The entrance to the warrens is a hidden door in a hut in the Werewolf Village, just west of the Chieftain's House. If Gorion's Ward helped Dradeel, Maralee, or Delainy/Durlyle earlier, these individuals will point them toward the entrance. Otherwise, the party must find it on their own, and will probably wander around the village fighting a lot more werewolves in the process.

Encounters[]

According to dialogue, some of the werewolf villagers live in the warrens. It should come as no surprise, then, that the area is infested with werewolves.

Loot[]

There are several stashes of potions lying on the ground throughout the caverns. These are:

  • 2 Potions of Healing
  • Potion of Storm Giant Strength
  • Potion of Cold Resistance
  • Oil of Speed
  • Potion of Defense

Notes[]

  • Delainy's/Durlyle's dialogue states that the entrance to the warrens is in the Chieftain's House itself, but the house they lead the party to, and the house that the entrance is actually in, is to the west of the Chieftain's House
  • It is impossible to enter the warrens prior to defeating Karoug and reporting back to Kaishas Gan. This is because Kaishas has magically sealed the entrance, and unseals it when she uses the warrens to go to the ship.
