Turquoises are gems found in the Baldur's Gate series of games. They are the least valuable of all the stones and are therefore quite common.
Description[]
“ | Turquoise is an opaque aqua stone with darker mottlings, and is found in the more arid reaches of the realms. Horsemen will often place a sliver of this stone in a horse's harness as a sign of good luck. | ” |
Locations[]
In all games, turquoise gems can be found as random treasure.

- Ulcaster - carried(50) and offered to the party by Furret, a halfling on the plateau in the west, as a "gem of true seeing" for 1,000 – in fact, it's this very ordinary turquoise, worth 5 ; beware, as agreeing to the trade after having pick-pocketed the stone from him, will still make him take the 1,000

, has a magical item ability attached. This, however, has no effect and is not present in the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.
Bugs[]
- The original Baldur's Gate, together with its expansion Tales of the Sword Coast, lists the item as Turquiose Gem in the inventory; however, the spelling in the description already does it correctly: "Turquoise".
Lore[]
- Turquoises belong to the category of ornamental stones, the least valuable stones to be found in the Realms.
