The Dungeon Slug is the second half of two interlinked sidequests in Chapter 10 of Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear. After having taken charge of the ogre brigands in the Underground River Entrance area, Murs will plead with Gorion's Ward to rescue her mate, Slug, who has been taken prisoner by the Shining Crusade. In return, she promises that not only will Slug reward them with some of their choicest loot, but also that the tribe will agree to fight against the Shining Crusade alongside the Alliance.
Slug can be found locked up in a cage in the Warrens. Speaking to him will allow Gorion's Ward to explain that they were sent by Murs, after which they can interact with the cage and turn him and two other ogres loose to return to the camp.
Once set free, Slug will tell the player of a hidden loot cache in the Underground River, in the chamber containing Bellowgulp Bluefingers; this activates a previously inaccessible cache containing The Hydra (a unique +2 flail), and three potions. If the player returns to the ogre camp and speaks to Slug and Murs again, the ogres will express their gratitude, granting the party 6,000 EXP and a Ring of Fire Resistance.
Trivia[]
