Taralash +4 is an enchanted longbow. It weighs 2 lbs, has a speed factor of 3 and it offers a bonus to THAC0 of -4. It also increases the movement speed of the wielder by 2 points.

The bow can be upgraded by Cespenar for some gold and it requires the Bowstring of Gond. But if party members are using the other items which require the bowstring for an upgrade, using it for this weapon might not be best choice.

This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. It is dropped by The Huntress in the Final Seal in Watcher's Keep after using the Heart Key.

In-game description (before upgrade)[]

Taralash was a hunter renowned for his ability to track down even the fleetest of quarry by foot. Few animals ever escaped once he had them in the sights of his mighty longbow.

Taralash +5[]

Taralash +5 now offers a THAC0 bonus of -5, has a speed factor of 2 and it weighs only 1 lbs. The bonus to movement speed is still the same.

In-game description (after upgrade)[]

The magical bowstring of Gond makes even the legendary longbow of Taralash more accurate and powerful.
