Taquee is a Djinni standing guard outside the Dao Djinni Tent in Trademeet during the Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn campaign.

Ha ha! You are a strange one, mortal! You are... <MALEFEMALE>, are you not? I have not seen many of your kind.

— Taquee

Gameplay[]

Prior to the arrival of Gorion's Ward in Trademeet, Taquee and other djinn have had a stranglehold on trade in the city and its surrounding area, a situation that the leaders of the city want the protagonist to remedy.

Speaking with the Djinni, especially regarding the hunt for the Rukh Ihfateer will result in more information. It is also possible that Taqee will be amused at the sight of the party and may say:

"Would you do a little dance for me, mortal? I do so love to watch your forms writhe! It does so remind me of the jann of home!"

Taquee also holds a much-coveted prize, an Efreeti Bottle, which can be used once per day to summon an Efreeti to do its master's bidding. The bottle can be pick pocketed by a skilled thief.

If this Djinn is made hostile it will begin combat with a "force cast" uninterruptible Improved Haste, Stoneskin, then attempt a Flesh to Stone. Will engage in melee after that, and possibly try a Invisibility spell cast as well.

If playing with the Afaaq the Djinni Companion mod, and with Afaaq outside his bottle and a member of the party, some observations and clever dialogue will occur between the genies.
