Studded Leather Armor is armor made from soft leather, with metal rivets added to it to provide more protection. It has a weight of 25 lbs and it offers a basic Armor Class of 7, with an additional -2 bonus to AC against slashing attacks and -1 bonus to AC against piercing. This armor is the most powerful type of armor which can be worn by thieves and is a significant upgrade from normal leather, which actually provides no protection against slashing and piercing attacks.
The wearer needs at least 6 Strength in order to wear this. This item appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. It's for sale at most armor stores throughout all games.
