Gameplay[]
The caster selects a point on the map to aim the spell's target point towards, with a range of 25 feet.
When the spell is finished a fast-moving projectile travels to the selected point and affects all non-party creatures in the 30-ft. radius of the point.
Each creature must roll a Saving throw versus Spell with a -4 penalty to negate the effects.
If the saving throw is missed the victim is affected by a Slow effect, as well as a 4 point THAC0 and Armor Class penalty.
A slowed creature basically takes twice as long to perform an action as compared to normal - some examples include; movement is halved, attacks per round are halved, casting time is doubled, regeneration rate is halved, initiative is worsened etc.
A creature that fails the saving throw will be identified in the combat log with a text reading "Slowed", as well as a lighting effect and a color glow rendered on their sprite. A sound effect is audibled upon the start and at the expiration of the spell.
A player character affected by this spell will show a "Slow" icon (No. 41) on their portrait.
Magic resistance and a Minor Globe of Invulnerability can block this spell, as well as Spell Immunity Alteration.
A Haste effect, such as from an Oil of Speed or a Haste spell will negate this effect.
A Dispel Magic effect can also remove the spell.
This spell will not "stack" or be additive to other forms of slow magic, for example from the Wish spell, or Golem Slow, or even another Wizard Slow spell.

A Slow spell causes creatures to move and attack at half of their normal rates unless a save vs. polymorph at -2 is made. Slowed creatures also suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls, AC, and saves vs. breath. Spellcasting time is doubled, though spell effects are not affected. Furthermore, the rate at which these creatures regenerate or suffer damage from poison is halved. At the instant the spell is completed, all hostile creatures in 30-foot radius of a point selected by the caster will be affected (thus, creatures leaving the area are still subject to the spell’s effect; those entering the area after the casting is completed are not). It negates the effects of a Haste spell but does not otherwise affect magically speeded or slowed creatures. This spell is not cumulative with itself or with other similar magic.
