Upon casting Slay Living, the cleric's hand is imbued with a powerful, deadly magic.
Description[]
“ | Upon casting this spell, the priest has to touch an opponent in order to visit the effect upon them. An item is created upon casting. The next attack the priest makes, which must happen in the next 3 rounds, will use this item. If the first attack misses, the item disappears and the spell is wasted; however, if the attack succeeds, the victim automatically takes 2d6+9 damage. Also, he/she must make a Save vs. Spell or be instantly killed. Slay Living can be dispelled if cast between the casting of this spell and the necessary attack. | ” |
Gameplay[]
- The spell is materialized as a magical 0d6+0 crushing weapon with no strength bonus, but a +6 enchantment and -3 THAC0 bonus.
- The weapon has the following on-hit effects, which are of the Offensive damage type — blockable by the Cloak of Mirroring:
- 2d6+9 Magical damage
- Slay unless a save vs Spell is made
- Only the damage part does not bypass magic resistance
