Baldur's Gate Wiki

Sister Farielle is the lone priestess of Waukeen located in the besieged city of Saradush, where she is found inside the Temple of Waukeen. The priestess has several optional plot attachments and dialogue paths related to the Dealing with Gromnir quest as well as the Refuge for the Elves encounter. She also offers standard temple services.

Greetings, my <BROTHER/SISTER>, and welcome to the House of Waukeen. I am Sister Farielle. How may I serve you?

Gameplay[]

Initiating dialogue with Sister Farielle will potentially provide the party with some valuable information. The party can ask about some recent subjects to see what she can share about them, such Gromir, Melissan, or how to get into the Saradush castle. Its possible to receive a key from her with dialogue, along with some background about how she sealed the Saradush Prison to keep some evil within. The key will allow entry to the prison, which can lead to the sewers beneath the city, and eventually to a way into the castle. However, if Gorion's Ward is of evil Alignment, she'll sense this, and not provide it, along with her reasons for denying the item.

If the party has participated via dialogue and assisted the various elves in the Refuge for the Elves encounter here in the Saradush streets, then there will be a dialogue path to ask if the temple will provide a safe harbor for the sylvan refugees.

Various items may be pickpocketed from the sister, should the party wish to try that, but if failure occurs she has a script to react to the botched thievery. If the sister is attacked or made hostile, she'll try and fight back with divine magic, although she'll be outmatched most likely by the party. Once she's dead, the temple's store and services are no longer available.

The Sword Coast Stratagems mod adds a new default AI script for smarter spell casting and targeting, and allows use of several random potions she now carries for healing/buffing.

The Afaaq the Djinni Companion mod added an item to the game that can be recovered from defeating the Demilich within the Watcher's Keep – Crypt - the mod added dialogue options that allows the party to ask Sister Farielle to purge the evil from the potentially very powerful "Cursed skull of a demilich" item. It seems possibly overpowered, but also has some side effects, to balance it out.
