| “ | If you count a drow as a friend of yours, you are no friend of mine. The crusade accepts all who swear loyalty to Caelar. I do not. | ” |
Sindret is a female elf cleric devoted to Shevarash, the elven god of drow extermination. Sindret joined the Shining Crusade under Caelar Argent hoping to learn new tactics that might be used in future campaigns against the drow in the Underdark, but has since found a greater appreciation for the power of faith that Caelar supposedly wields. She can be met in the eastern bailey of Dragonspear Castle, where she assists a group of troll handlers with a recalcitrant specimen in Chapter Ten of Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear.

Understanding the Crusade[]
At Deneld's prompting, ask Sindret about why she joined the Crusade, and how she feels about it. [not required for quest completion]
Speaking to her yields the following journal entry:
Understanding the Crusade
After I talk to a few people around camp regarding the crusade, I can return to Morale Officer Deneld.
I spoke to a cleric of Shevarash named Sindret. A hunter of drow, as dictated by her deity, she originally joined the crusade to learn new tactics. Caelar's faith inspired her, though. Now she fights wholeheartedly for the Shining Lady's cause. It's interesting that people of such different faiths all take Caelar as a spiritual leader.
Note[]
As a devotee of Shevarash, Sindret despises the drow. If the player speaks to Sindret whilst Viconia De'Vir or Baeloth Barrityl is both in the party and within her visual range, she reacts with hostility, and unless assuaged diplomatically, she will attack. If the player repeats this mistake, she will attack without any hope to diplomatically pacify her. When she attacks, the whole camp will turn hostile as well.
