The Silver Hilt is one of two components necessary to reforge the Silver Sword.
Description[]

Aquisition[]
If the party is in possession of the Silver Blade (carried within a party member inventory or container), then the first time the party returns to Athkatla in Chapter 6 a script is triggered. This can occur outdoors in all city districts and during day or nighttime. It may take several rounds of time before launching.
The script spawns a githyanki named Kruin. He will demand that you hand over the Silver Blade. You can either give it to him or decide to fight him and his friends. Apart from other loot, he drops the Silver Hilt.
Gameplay[]
if the party gives up the Silver Blade to the gith, then Kruin will depart in peace. If the party dispatches the githyanki blade seekers, the Silver Blade and hilt can be used by Cromwell to reforge the Silver Sword.
