Silence is a merchant in the city of Baldur's Gate. Her store is called the Shop of Silence and it is located in the district of East Baldur's Gate.
She offers both equipment (mainly intended for thieves) and rest (of the peasant type only) in her store which is also referred to as the "Sanctuary". She can be killed without penalty.
Note: Should you choose to attack Silence, not only will her hired muscle, a fighter named Mongo, appear, the Rogue standing in the store will also turn hostile.

This icon indicates content from the original Baldur's Gate campaign. Though using a distinctly female voice set, Silence is a male in the original Baldur's Gate. This is fixed in the Enhanced Edition.
