Shortbow +3 is an enchanted weapon appearing in the Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, and Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal game versions.
Description[]
| “ | Shortbows were the first bows to be developed, although they were not called such. This is more of a default term that refers to anything which is not a longbow. Shortbow staves are about 5 feet long on the average. This shortbow is the rival of any of the larger bows. The magic inherent within it, whether from the wood or the spellcasting of a mage, makes this bow more accurate and damaging than a normal bow. | ” |
Gameplay[]
This bow is a +3 Enchanted item which can fire any Arrow missile ammunition.
The bow fires with a Speed Factor of 3, at a maximum range of 75-feet, and provides a 3-point THAC0 bonus.
While equipped the bow provides a base Attacks per round value of 2, which can be augmented/increased by the wielder's shortbow Weapon Proficiency rating.
