Shakti Figurine is an item which is only available in the Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal game during Chapter 8 when exploring Saradush, and if the party is pursuing the Betrayal at the Gates side quest.
Description
| “ | Shakti Figurine This statue is a replica of a fierce gladiator, wielding a blade in each hand. By invoking this figurine, the user temporarily transforms themselves into a blue armored warrior wielding a pair of magical short swords. |

Acquisition[]
This figurine is carried by the merchant/assassin Kiser Jhaeri, and it cannot be stolen from the first iteration of him in the Enhanced Edition (flagged as "unstealable) - it can be recovered from his corpse otherwise.
The second appearance of Kiser (only in the cellar) allows pick pocketing of all eligible items, but that second version may not appear at all depending on what the party does during the quest, and it will be hostile anyhow, and that Kiser version can be killed and looted instead stealing the item - either way the party will be able to get it.
Gameplay[]
The figurine is placed in an eligible character's "quick item" slot (see restricted users in the InfoBox) and then selected in order to activate the figurine's magical transformation power upon the user.
Once activated, the following effects occur to the user:
- A sound effect is heard
- A brief 3D graphic effect renders over the user's sprite
- User's sprite coloring is light blue
- User's sprite will glow and pulse
- A normal Haste effect is bestowed
- User's first two quick weapon slots replaced by the Shakti Short Sword
- User granted 2-points in Short Sword Weapon Proficiency
- User's base Armor Class set to -5
The duration of the effects last for 4 rounds (24 seconds) and cannot be dispelled, except by the Hive Mother Anti-Magic Ray.
Any weapons that were in the first two weapon slots are moved to the character's backpack inventory - if it is full, then those items are placed on the ground next to their feet.
The user can't change the Shakti created sword weapon with another until the effect expires - a text will display "Magical weapon in use".
In most cases the user will now enjoy at least 2 Attacks per round with the short sword, with a 1-point THAC0 bonus and +2 Slashing damage bonus from the proficiency, and then the +4 enchantment bonuses are added to that from the Shakti sword.
The Shakti power won't interfere with spell casting, or use of an off-hand shield or weapon.
The figurine only provides 1 use "charge" and will recharge after a standard 8-hour rest period.

Shakti Short Sword +4[]
While classified as a Short Sword +4, it has the speed of a Short Sword +2 (1). The item also has worn haste and a proficiency modifier for short swords, increasing it to specialized level. It should be noted that the weapon still has a strength requirement of 5.
Bugs (outdated)[]
- The description mentions the user can attack twice per round, however the game files do not support this and it is likely a bad choice of words for "attacking twice as fast". The item has worn haste, identical to the spell version and no modification to attacks per round in any of its effects.
