Shadow Armor (Shadow Armor +3 in-game) is the best body armor for thieves and its dual- and multi-classes in Baldur's Gate. Compared to normal studded leather armor, Shadow Armor weighs 17 lbs less, has an armor class three points lower and it offers +15% bonus to hide in shadow. It still has the same modifiers as the normal studded leather armor and requires 6 strength to wear this armor. This is considered to be some of the best armor for thieves available.
