Scorcher ammunition is a flame-thrower type of projectile that creates a fire link much like Agannazar's Scorcher between the target and the attacker's weapon. Like the wizard spell, each projectile strikes a second time on the next round before the fire link wears out.
Scorcher ammunition provides a +10 bonus to THAC0 and attempts to get through the target's AC vs Piercing damage. If successful, the fire link is created and deals 2d12 Fire damage per hit to the target and any creature on its path (save vs Breath for half). The second strike is guaranteed to succeed on the next round if the first one did. Magic resistance is ignored.
