Rune of Imprisonment is a quest item in Mage Stronghold quest. Teos gives the rune to Gorion's Ward after Sergeant Natula ambushed them in the Planar Sphere. The rune has the power to imprison a person and Teos wants Gorion's Ward to use it on the Cowled Wizards's enemy, Lord Ketlaar Argrim. Ketlaar can be found in the second floor of an inn in Athkatla City Gates district. Teos will take the rune back when Gorion's Ward has fulfilled his request. As of BG2EE 2.6, the Rune only works on a creature who's race is flagged in the game engine as "mace". Lord Ketlaar Argrim's .CRE file was also changed from human to "mace" for this purpose. Otherwise, the Rune casts an actual level 9 Imprisonment spell at the target, with a "frightfully long casting time" as Teos warns.
