Rose is a key witness in the quest Solve the "skinner" murders in the Bridge District, having managed to encounter the mysterious serial killer as he fled from his latest kill. However, she only remembers a distinct scent, although she can't identify what it was - only that it was "like Guril Berries", which are out of season. She will direct you to speak to the merchant Bel Dalemark and see if he has anything in stock that might jog her memory; when asked, he gives you a bundle of Guril Berries, another of Solik Berries, and some Oak Bark. When presented with all three, she identifies oak bark as the item she smelled; if Gorion's Ward answers her curiosity by explaining that it is used in tanning, she will point them towards the Tanner Shop.
Once this information has been learned, Rose has nothing further to say to Gorion's Ward for the rest of the game.
