Ravager +4 is an enchanted halberd. It deals 1d10 +4 points of Piercing damage or Slashing damage, it has -4 THAC0 bonus, a speed factor of 5 and it weighs 12 lbs. This can also be used to cast Cloak of Fear on the wielder two times each day.

This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

This weapon can be found in the Marching Mountains. It's dropped by the Fire Elemental Prince Imix, who can be found in the second part of Yaga-Shura's Temple. The Ravager +6 (upgraded!) can be acquired in The Black Pits II: Gladiators of Thay as a reward item after defeating the Bhaalspawn in Tier 4 - Battle 4 (Battle 19).

This weapon can be upgraded by Cespenar, which requires some gold and the Serpent Shaft.

The Ravager halberd should not be confused with The Ravager, the Fifth Challenge in the Pocket Plane.

In-game description (before upgrade)[]

Taking the blood-soaked shaft of this weapon in hand brings a sudden chill along your spine. The origins of this gruesome halberd are unknown, though the very sight of it has been know to strike terror into the heart of an opponent.

Upgraded[]

Ravager +6 deals now 1d10 +6 points of damage and it has -6 THAC0 bonus. The weapons weighs 10 lbs and it has a speed factor of 3. The weapon has two combat abilities: it can deal 3-18 points with each hit if the target fails a save vs. poison and it can decapitate an opponent with 10% chance, for which no saving throw can be made. The decapitation instant-kills most normal enemies, most bosses are immune to it. In this state, Ravager is the most powerful halberd available and a very powerful weapon.

In-game description (after upgrade)[]

Combined with the Serpent Shaft, this dark halberd has the ability to slay an opponent with a single blow - unless they can survive the sudden loss of their head.
