Rancor (Rancor +1 in-game) is Dorn Il-Khan's starting weapon when he joins the party. This item appears in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

Gameplay[]
Rancor is an enchanted +1 two-handed sword.
Additionally, when Dorn slays an enemy with it, a special -1 THAC0 bonus is applied to the sword for 24 in-game hours.
Killing additional enemies does not cause this bonus to stack.
While characters other than Dorn can use it, they can only do so if they are Evil Aligned. If Dorn is wearing the Helmet of Opposite Alignment, even he can't use it until it is removed.
