Protection From Petrification gives the target immunity to all forms of petrification.
Scrolls for this spell can be added to the spellbook through learning (chance to Write Magic) and can be used as a one-time only spell by a spell caster.
Description[]

Gameplay[]
The caster applies this spell to one creature or self at a range of basically "touch" distance.
When the spell casting is finished, a short series of graphic effects renders on the recipient, including a color fade, lighting effect and a 3D graphic.
A text will display, reading "Gaze Reflection".
A player character will show an icon (No. 10) titled "Protection From Petrification" on their portrait for the spell's duration.
Additionally, a sound effect will audible when the spell expires.
This spell prevents the recipient from the Petrified status effect - they are immune to being turned to stone as long as the spell is active.
The spell won't be able to cure or revert petrification upon a creature that is already turned to stone.
This spell can be removed with any Dispel Magic effect or the Breach spell.

The Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition has no 1st-level wizard spell titled Protection from Petrification. However, at the 5th-level there is a spell titled "Protection from Petrification, 10' Radius". See the External link for further reading.
