The Priestess is a female Sahuagin Cleric aligned with the Rebel faction in the Sahuagin civil strife in the City of Caverns.
Locations[]
- Will appear near the large maw in the center of the city, as part of an ambushing group of rebels (
2704.1245
).[1]
Gameplay[]
The cleric will self-buff with a preparatory group of spells to include Blade Barrier, Chant, and Strength of One - some of these buffs may affect the other rebels in the group, enhancing their abilities. Almost right after this she'll try and get a Death Ward on herself.
After that, expect an Earthquake spell cast, and then various offensive and disabling spells done sequentially, if able and not interrupted.
As she is wearing the Cloak of Mirroring, most single-target and some area of effect offensive damage type spells will deflect harmlessly from her.
Take note of her scripted use spells in the InfoBox. All of those listed can be attempted as the battle transpires.
She will attempt to heal herself if damaged to a preset threshold. Mass Cure first, and if severely wounded, then a Heal will be attempted.
Notes[]
- This enemy should not be confused with the Priestess of Sekolah, a non-hostile female Sahaugin cleric who administers temple services whilst the party is in the Underwater City.
Mod content[]
- This section is about unofficial content that is only available via fan-made mods.
The Sword Coast Stratagems mod makes some changes to the creature. A "smarter Priest" default cleric script is assigned. A new and revised fully populated level 14 cleric spell book is memorized. When the battle begins, she will instantly self-buff with a group of previously cast spell to include Blade Barrier, Armor of Faith, Magic resistance, Spiritual Hammer, Draw Upon Holy Might (spell), Free Action (spell) and Chaotic Commands.
With her weapon now changed to the Spiritual hammer, she could be throwing it or striking at a distance, especially with the Spell Revisions mod version and also with the Thrown Hammers mod. In terms of further spell casting, these will be selected as determined by the AI's opponent threat and vulnerability assessment scripts. Various offensive and disabling spells will be attempted. She can try various cure spells on self at predetermined thresholds of damage. Unholy Blight and Unholy Word can be used. She can attempt a Harm spell as well.
