Potion of Magic Protection bestows the imbiber with a +50% magic resistance temporarily.

Gameplay[]
This potion can be used by all classes, and it will last 10 turns (2 game hours) or until it is dispelled. Like most potions, effects from quaffing multiple doses are additive, although magic resistance values above 100% are rarely necessary.
The potion's magic resistance boost is not categorized as any spell school and has no secondary type, which means that, for example, a Breach or Spell Thrust won't affect it, but it can be removed by Dispel Magic effects (which are themselves not subject to magic resistance).
When imbibed the user will have icon (No. 63 "Magic Resistance") displayed on the portrait. A lighting effect plays over the user, as well as an audible sound effect. Another one plays when the potion's duration expires.
