A Potion of Fire Resistance will temporarily boost resistance to fire damage for 2-hours (10 turns).

Description[]

This potion bestows upon the person drinking it magical resistance to all forms of fire. All damage that is applied is reduced by an extra 50%. This is on top of any other resistance the person might have. The effect lasts for 2 hours, or until dispelled.

Gameplay[]

Quaffing this potion will instantly apply a preventive protection to the imbiber - a sound effect is audibled when first drunk, as well as a brief lighting effect and color fade, and a "gulp" text string. The character will also show an icon on their portrait; "Protection From Fire".

When the potion expires a second sound effect will audible signifying the end of the potion's effects.

The potion provides the following effect:

  • +50% resistance to Fire damage - which is cumulative with other sources of fire damage resistance, although that value cannot exceed 127% in total.

This potion can be removed with any applicable Dispel Magic effect.

Imbibing multiple potions of Fire Resistance will "stack" with additive protection.
