The Poisoned Crusaders are a small patrol of Shining Crusade agents who have become infected with a mysterious fungal corruption whilst exploring the Underground River. Encountering them leads to the quest Slime Sickness, where Gorion's Ward will either cure them or have to kill them once they succumb to the infection and become Mustard Jellies.
