Plath Rededge is a human cleric and the leader of a group of bandits who appear in the Windspear Cabin during the events of the Journey to the Windspear Hills side quest.

We have taken Garren's child! Now it is time for his bothersome friends to die!

— Plath Rededge

Gameplay[]

She will address the party, following the abduction of Garren Windspear's child, that hints at the reason for Lord Firkraag's interest in ruining Gorion's Ward's name and reputation. When the dialogue concludes, Plath and the remaining bandits will turn hostile and attack the party.

Pleth will attempt to cast offensive spells only, except for Death Ward. If not disrupted, she will try and cast Slay Living, followed by Harm, and then Flame Strike. If still functional, she may attempt a second Slay Living and a Hold Person (priest).

She is accompanied by a 12th level dwarven fighter with helm, plate mail, battle axe and large shield. The dwarf is quite strong. Two 6th level orcs (also with 18+ strength) are also part of the bandit band. One orc is wielding a bastard sword, and the other focuses on missile fire with Composite Longbow and arrows.

Notes[]

  • While Plath's assigned race is human, her appearance is that of a cleric female elf.

Installation of the Sword Coast Stratagems mod revises this evil cleric, and most noticeably applies a group of (previously cast) spells upon herself, including: Blade Barrier, Armor of Faith, Magic resistance, Draw Upon Holy Might (spell), Free Action (spell), and Chaotic Commands.

She can use a potion in her inventory for quaffing, and can attempt a Heal or various cure wounds spells on self. She'll attack party members with spells, some targeting will be influenced by what protections and vulnerabilities are recognized by the AI. Perhaps a Finger of Death (priest), Mental Domination, or Hold Person (priest).
