Neb's Nasty Cutter is a Magical dagger +2 able to inflict a Poison effect (and, in the original edition of BG2, a Slow effect as well) if the target doesn't save vs Death. The Nasty Cutter can only do this 10 times, after which it becomes nothing more than a normal Dagger +2.

This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. This dagger is dropped by Neb in the Derelict House in the Bridge District during Gain the services of Sir Sarles for the temple.

Description[]

This is a vicious weapon used by Neb, covered with old blood and coated in a poison that is both quick-acting and extremely deadly. Only the truly evil would dare to use this item on their own. Once the poison is used up, however, Neb's Cutter will act as a normal enchanted dagger.

Trivia[]

While looking like a random made-up design, the weapon is actually modeled after an African weapon called the mambele. It was used as both a melee and thrown weapon, and varied greatly in shape and size.
