Mustard Jellies are one of the more dangerous varieties of slime. They are immune to normal weapons, electricity, piercing damage and many other forms of attacks, especially missiles, cold and magic. They are also immune to backstab with any weapon. They are most vulnerable to fire, acid, and slashing damage. They have the ability to poison and slow their enemies.
Shapeshift Mustard Jelly[]
It is possible to change into a Mustard Jelly, through Polymorph Self or the Cloak of the Sewers. The polymorphed character obtains the following stats:

Trivia[]
- The offical website for the original game, now archived, had – in addition to some combat-related statistics – the following information about these slimes:[1]
The size was given as 9 to 12 feet in diameter. The monstrous amoeboid mustard jelly is far more dangerous than the ocher jelly.[sic] Mustard jelly is translucent, and very hard to see until it attacks. The only clue to its presence is a faint odor, similar to blooming mustard plants. Once it does attack, it may be seen as yellowish brown in color.

Mod content[]

While the Mustard Jelly form provided by the Cloak of the Sewers and the Spell form is immune to almost all Gauth and Beholder eye blasts/rays, with Sword Coast Stratagems and the "Smarter Beholders" component that is not completely true. The three Hive Mother creatures in the game files are able to fire a unique Cause Serious Wounds ray that bypasses magic resistance, saving throws and spell level protections. Testing indicates at least one blast every other round is generated, dealing an average of 22 Magical damage each time. In addition, the Hive Mother's anti-magic ray will drain charges in all equipped items and quick slot items, even in Jelly Form. If soloing the Hive Mother as a Jelly, the creature will deal more damage to you faster than you are able to deal to the Hive Mother. It is also likely that the creature will protect itself from magical weapons as well, and the polymorph duration will wear off before you can kill it with a Mustard Jelly attack weapon.
