This particular Mugger is an Elf Thief that only appears at night (19:30-5:29) on the Athkatla Bridge near Horn House.

Hey...you! Give me your money NOW or you're going to regret it...comprehend, yes?

Reply "I have no money" or "you're about to be the one regretting it" results in combat, and he calls in help from three more Muggers.

If you reply, "Alright, alright...here you go..." he will divest the party of up to 1,000,000gp before he tries to flee[1].

He is protected by Studded Leather Armor, a Small Shield and a high Dexterity (-3 AC bonus). He can only melee with a Bastard Sword, since he has no ranged weapons. He is worth only 20 XP and can be looted for 6gp and poor random treasure.

His fellow muggers are Human Fighter/Thieves worth 1,000 XP each, who drop average random treasure and mundane arms and armor.

Sword Coast Stratagems mod makes minor revisions to the Mugger. An SCS Thief script is assigned for smarter tactical behavior and backstabbing. The Weapon proficiencies are changed to 1 pip in long sword and 1 in sword and shield fighting style. A long sword replaces the bastard sword as the quick weapon. Random SCS random treasures are placed in his inventory.

The Innershade mod places a map in this mugger's inventory, for use with the quest in the modification.
