The Moon Dog Figurine can be used once per day to summon Cerebus, a moon dog, lasting for up to 300 seconds/5-turns.
Description[]
| “ | This Figurine of Wondrous Power that calls forth from the ether the moon dog Cerebus. Cerebus will obey the owner of the figurine if he so chooses. Unlike similar figurines, Cerebus serves through his desire to combat evil and forward the cause of righteousness and is not bound by the magic of the figurine. | ” |
Gameplay[]
A character places the figurine in a quick item slot (like a wand is used) and selects the item to cast a spell. The spell requires the player to select a location on the map where the creature will enter the map, using a targeting cursor. There is a 20 feet distance limit from the caster.
The creature appears on the map with a summoning graphic, and Cerberus is now a controllable creature to command, including utilizing its special spells.
Cerebus can attack enemies for the party and has several innate spell abilities. See the creature's article page for details.
If Cerebus is slain, the moon dog figurine will be added to the inventory of the character who has the item in the inventory slots. In case the inventory is full, the item will be dropped on the ground when the figurine is ready to be used again.
This item is a reward from the spirit of the lands in the Umar Hills, given to Gorion's Ward at the end of the stronghold quest Ranger-Protector of the Umar Hills.
Though a fallen ranger qualifies for the stronghold quest, they can't use this figurine.
