Mizhena's Amulet is a side quest given by Mizhena in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear.

Acquisition[]

This quest may be gained by speaking to Mizhena several times after discussing her faith in Tempus. This can happen in Chapter Eight at the camp at the Coast Way Crossing, Chapter Nine at the Troll Claw Woods, or in Chapter Ten at the Coalition Camp.

Walkthrough[]

Mizhena has lost her amulet while in a skirmish with Crusaders. As it is of sentimental value to her, she asks Gorion's Ward to retrieve it.

It can be found in the Underground River Entrance map. Near the northeastern corner of the map, north of the ogre bandit camp, there is a cave (around 4449.1082) that will spawn several Displacer Beasts, which, at harder difficulties, may include a Pack Lord. When slain, the amulet can be retrieved from the bodies.[1]

Once the amulet is returned, the party may choose to inquire about Mizhena's background over a short back and forth. Through her answers, she will suggest that she is transgender and explain how the amulet marked her family's acceptance, as her mother carved it with the initials of both her birth name and her chosen name Mizhena. As long as she is asked to confide all the way through and the reaction to her confidences is not "None of that makes any sense to me" or "There are far stranger things in this world, I suppose", Mizhena will start to see the party as friends.

All dialogue paths lead to the same 500gp reward for returning the amulet and 1,000 XP per party member. Having Mizhena's friendship will alter some of her lines going forward, but should not provide the party with any special benefit or opportunity except in the case of Mizhena's Father quest — obtained and rewarded in the Dragonspear Castle Exterior area. This quest requires completion of the Amulet quest, which can be started in Chapter Ten at the latest. But to receive Mizhena's father quest without her friendship, the party must postpone returning the amulet until right after Chapter Eleven's battle outside the castle. See the acquisition conditions for the Mizhena's father quest for details.

Mizhena's Amulet
I can look for Mizhena's amulet in the woods near the coalition camp.
Mizhena, a priest of Tempus in the coalition camp, lost an amulet in a battle with crusaders. The amulet has no value other than sentimental, but she'd like me to find it. I should look for the signs of a struggle in the woods near the camp.

I came across an amulet in the woods near the coalition camp, that in fact belongs to Mizhena. While grateful for its return, another matter was clearly on her mind and she asked for my help.
