Miner Ruffie is one of the few miners who has encountered the kobolds attacking miners, but is incapable of recognizing them, mistaking them for demons instead. He has told his friend Miner Gord about what he has witnessed, thereby spreading the tale of demons in the lower levels of the mine amoungst the other miners.
Talking with him adds a journal entry to the Investigating the Nashkel Mines quest. No matter what your reply to him is, he will leave and disappear.
Killing him results in reputation loss.

- 1-Tell me about the mines. What's been making the miners disappear?
- Demons! The little devils are everywhere, I tell ya! From the walls they're coming! They're going to kill us all.
- 2-What did these demons look like?
- What did they look like?! They looked like demons, ya blasted idiot!
