Mimic Glue is an innate spell ability possessed and used by Killer Mimic creatures encountered in the Siege of Dragonspear, Shadows of Amn, and the Throne of Bhaal.

Effects[]

The mimic will cast this spell at a detected party member when within spell range, and the launched projectile follows and strikes the target creature automatically.

A lighting effect plays over the target, and the character is exposed to a paralyze effect.

A Saving throw versus Breath will negate the effect.

If the save is missed, the target creature is paralyzed for 30 seconds (five rounds) and made immobile and Helpless - the character also has a "Grease" overlay placed on their sprite and a "Held" icon on the portrait.

This innate spell is unaffected by Magic resistance and Spell Immunity protections.

The effect can't be dispelled.

The internal spell Power level of the effect is 10, and thus certain spell protections can block/reflect it, such as Spell Deflection, Spell Turning, Shield of the Archons or Spell Trap.

Any protective item, spell, or innate ability that prevents the paralyze status effect will ensure that this glue won't cause a problem.

Notes[]

The chickens encountered in the Umar Hills have this spell in their spellbook but possess no method of utilizing said spell.

An Imp that is encountered in the Siege of Dragonspear campaign and the creatures T'alcor and Greater Air Elemental encountered during the Gladiators of Thay campaign are provided immunity to this spell's effects. The reasoning behind this is indiscernible at the present time.
