Mephit Portals are doors to the Elemental Planes that keep on summoning mephits until destroyed. They lack any defenses and have only 27 Hit Points, but are immune to magic.
Location[]
All four Portals present in the game can be found in Irenicus's Dungeon 2nd Floor. Each portal connects to a specific Elemental Plane and will summon a different subtype of mephit (Smoke, Ice, Magma, Radiant, in that order from nearest to furthest), though statistically, they are identical to one another.
Bugs[]
- Baldur's Gate II:
Shadows of Amn (2000)
This icon indicates content from the original Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn campaign. In the original Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, the mephit portals are humanoid male human mages. The Enhanced Edition fixes this except for the gender – mephit portals are still male beings.
