Mephits are pesky, Imp-like, extra-planar creatures first encountered in the Repository of Undeath and again throughout Irenicus's Dungeon. There are many varieties of these magical elemental creatures, each corresponding to one of the Inner Planes.[1]
Types of Mephits encountered during the Baldur's Gate II games include the following:
Both Mist and Steam Mephits originate from the quasi-elemental plane of Steam.[2] There are no Vacuum and Ash Mephits in the game.
