Memories of Battles Past is a sidequest that can be acquired in Chapter 10 of Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear.
Obtaining[]
Speak to Simonetta Twoedged in the Coalition Camp to be given this quest, which requires you to speak to multiple individuals around the camp to learn more about why the Coalition exists.
Completion[]
The player must speak to the following NPCs around the Coalition Camp, and then report back to Simonetta:
- Belegarm - will talk to a Gorion's Ward that has a Charisma score of 14, 13 or 11 (in the order of the dialog options) or is a half-elf or elf.
- Vigilant Halasan - will talk to a Gorion's Ward that has a Charisma score of 11, 14 or 15 (again, order of options), or is a fighter or paladin.
- Dosia - will not talk before the Uncommon Cold is complete. Will refuse to talk if all her patients died. Will talk to any Gorion's Ward in whose care at most four patients died (Yestimell counts as one). Will talk to a Gorion's Ward that has effected the deaths of at least five, but not all patients, who has a Charisma score of 13, 14 or 15 (once again, order of options) or is a paladin or cleric.
Reward[]
Once all three individuals have been spoken to, the player can return to Simonetta again. Upon hearing their analysis, the party gains 6000 EXP and the Medal of Valor.
Additionally, completing this quest allows the player to coax Simonetta into revealing a clue pointing to Malden Col as the guilty party for the quest The Traitor.
Note[]
A counterpart quest to this exists in the form of the quest Understanding the Crusade, which can be acquired at Dragonspear Castle Exterior from Deneld.
