The Mana Bow +4 is an enchanted longbow which offers the wielder 20% resistance to magical damage.

Description[]

Kestsa was given this longbow many years ago by the Cowled Wizards as reward for his exemplary service in the Athkatla city guard. He was tireless in bringing to justice those who unlawfully used magic. The bow served him well in his cause, granting resistance to damage from arcane energy.

Gameplay[]

This longbow can launch any arrow ammunition available in the game.

The bow provides a 5 point THAC0 bonus to hit and has a base rate of fire of 2 Attacks per round. Weapon proficiency in Longbows can influence this bow's effectiveness.

While the bow is equipped the wielder receives a 20% resistance to Magical energy damage - such as is produced from a Magic Missile, Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting or Finger of Death spells.

The bow is a launcher of ammunition, and its +4 enchantment rating is not transferred to the missile aimed at a target for the purposes of what the ammunition can strike. For example, an ordinary Arrow fired from this bow is still a non-magical and unenchanted missile when it attempts to strike a target creature.

Acquisition[]

Found in a pool within the cave that's located in the Forest of Tethir during Chapter 6 of the Shadows of Amn campaign.
