Maheer is a merchant from Rashemen who now does business in Waukeen's Promenade during the Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn campaign.
Hours and Locations[]
During the day, he has an outdoor stall in Waukeen's Promenade (1870.2065). At night (21:30 to 6:30) he can be found west of Enge's Shop, inside the Weaponsmith shop which is empty during the day. Maheer is only labelled as "Storekeep" in dialog, and as "Merchant" in the Buy/Sell screen.
Dialog[]
Of the weapons he sells, "Maheer has all kinds to offer... scimitars, swords even iron weapons from the Storm Horn Mountains!" Regarding "special weapons" he replies again in the 3rd-person, "Maheer does not possess the craft to create weapons, himself. There is a fine dwarven smith in this city who knows such skills. The stout one's name be Cromwell, my Lord... and his shop is within the Docks District here in the city."
Maheer and Minsc might have a side-conversation if he is in the party.
The Horns of Vahalla[]
After mentioning Cromwell, he proudly switches to 1st-person to announce that he can upgrade the Horn of Vahalla.
"I will tell you one thing, my Lord... I can create the finest of musical horns -- the dwarf knows not of this art."
Maheer is the only NPC in the game who can upgrade it, starting with the Silver Horn of Valhalla, then to Bronze, and finally to Iron.
Ah, yes... the old magic of my family shall turn your fine horn into the great Iron Horn. Rarely have a [sic] seen its like, casadhi... here you go. Use it well.

Besides upgrading the horn, his notable items include Poisoned Throwing Daggers, Arrows of Fire, and a number of +1 weapons and +2 missiles.
