Gameplay analysis[]
This spell is very potent for damaging when it comes to the combined powers of Robe of Vecna and Improved Alacrity. Because of its fast casting time, it can also be useful to interrupt hostile spellcasters. However, the Shield spell makes a character immune to magic missile, and quite a number of enemy casters have a Shield spell active.
Can be used to quickly get rid of an enemy's Mirror Images.
