Maces are a class of one-handed melee weapon that fall under the Mace weapon proficiency in all games except for classic Baldur's Gate, in which they shared the Blunt Weapons category with War Hammers, Clubs, and Quarterstaves. They cannot be used by the following character classes and class kits: Beast Master, Druid (including Fighter/Druid) Monk, Shaman, Mage, Sorcerer and Thief. The basic Mace has a range of 1ft, deals 1d6 +1 crushing damage with a speed factor of 7 and requires a Strength of 10 to use.
