Lightning Mephits are small, minor elemental creatures that are first encountered in Irenicus's Dungeon. They attack with their innate Lightning Bolt (Mephit) ability.

Gameplay[]

A Lightning Mephit is fragile in comparison to other mephits in the game, presumably as they are initially encountered at the very start of SoA. They have low chance to hit anything in melee and they only have one attack per round. However, they do have a superior armor class as compared to other mephits, and an effective Lightning Bolt (Mephit) innate ability. Within 2 seconds the mephit can launch this bolt at any creature in range, and then attempt another every three rounds of combat afterwards. It has an endless supply of these bolts.

The Lightning Mephit have no magic or physical damage resistance. However, electricity damage will actually heal the creature, and they are protected and immune to fire damage. The InfoBox summarizes their special abilities and immunities to certain status effects.

Note: The game files include a Lightning Mephit familiar, but this creature is not implemented in an unmodified game. The non familiar Lightning mephit has the Blur spell in memory, but it won't use it as the script does not employ it.
