Legdoril is a member of Samia's relic hunter group.
Gameplay[]
This dwarven male Cleric will spawn at the designated location when Samia's group is triggered by script to appear.
He will begin actions when turned hostile with an initial 'force cast' of Chant and Strength of One. This is not interruptible. These spells may affect others in the relic hunter's group, providing beneficial bonuses to the entire gathering of Samia's party. The exception will be the Ogre Chak, who's strength will be lowered to 18/76 from 20. Oops - the developers did it to themselves again. Mod content below fixes that move.
Next, the cleric will attempt a Flame Strike on a detected opponent.
May attempt a Cloak of Fear cast on self.
A Hold Person (priest) may be directed at the closest enemy to the cleric.
When wounded to a preset hit point loss threshold, the dwarf will attempt to heal itself with one of spells in memory, a Mass Cure (which may heal nearby group members), or Cure Serious Wounds, and if the cleric only has 10% of its Hit points left, may attempt a Heal.
Those are the only spells used by the script. All the other ones memorized as listed in the InfoBox are not a factor and ignored.
If required, the cleric will defend himself with his mace and small shield. He is a weak melee combatant. If under the effects of his opening Chant and Strength of One spell, he'll be a slightly improved in melee combat ability.
Notes[]
In the original game, Legdoril was assigned a Chaotic Good alignment.
Mod content[]
This section is about unofficial content that is only available via fan-made mods.
Thw Sword Coast Stratagems mod makes some revisions to the dwarf. First, it has a new default "Smarter Priest" AI for better spell casting decisions, as well as a revised memorized spell book.
When hostilities begin, the cleric is able to launch (previously cast) the following: Armor of Faith, Draw Upon Holy Might (spell), Physical Mirror, Free Action (spell), and Animate Dead for a summoned support creature.
Further divine casting spell choices and targets are determined by several factors in the SCS AI script, and are variable depending on opponent protections, classes and other factors.
Expect Command, Slay Living, Flame Strike, Cause Serious Wounds and even a Harm.
Spell casting classes detected by the cleric may be targeted with a Silence, 15' Radius casting attempt.
The cleric will also potentially cast beneficial spells upon self and allies such as various healing spells, Defensive Harmony, Remove Fear, Remove Paralysis etc.
The dwarf carries one random SCS potion that can be consumed during battle to provide a benefit, for example Potion of Magic Protection.
