Larzis one of the three aspiring Cowled Wizards who will become an apprentice to Gorion's Ward as part of the Mage Stronghold quest during the Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn campaign.

Larz seems to be the weakest or least talented, as he will generally be the first apprentice to die as part of an item creation experiment, before Nara and Morul.

- Though appearing as an elven mage, Larz is of the human race in the original Shadows of Amn. The Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition makes him an elf.
Trivia[]
- The line of Larz, the wizard's apprentice, "I shall make the broom dance"[1] may very well be a reference to the poem "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" in which the protagonist enchants a broom to do the work for him.
