Lady Elgea is a noblewoman who has been taken captive by Am-Si, Camitis and Reti. She can be found on the second floor of the Kidnappers' House in the Bridge District.

Upon first talking to Elgea, it's clear she mistakes the party for kidnapper cohorts, but soon realizes her error.
"Who's there? What do you vermin wish now? The guard will hear of this outrage! Who...You are not my captors. Who are you? I demand to be freed!"
The party then has the choice to free her, or collect the ransom themselves.
If the party opts to collect the ransom themselves, then returns to where she is, hostile Amnian Authorities will attack, including an Amnian Centurion, Amnian Legionaries and two Cowled Enforcers.[1]

- A creature and a dialogue file exist in the original game which share name and content with those of Lady Elgea but use the code
ROWENA. The only mention of somebody by the name "Rowena" in the series is made by Edwin Odesseiron in his Tale of Woe – a fellow Red Wizard of Thay. However, Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear was written years after Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and the also earlier released Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition removed these files.
