One of several possible creatures, a mage might call when summoning monsters, is a Kobold Commando.

Kobold Commandos are basically Kobolds (small reptilian creatures) that have received some combat training. While they have a higher Hit Die than their brethren, more accurate attacks and some form of armor, they are still rather annoying than threatening.

The summoned Commando is on the one hand more powerful than the regular variant – with an experience level of three and higher Ability Scores and saving throws –, on the other hand it lacks a vital detail that would distinguish its theoretically enhanced combat abilities from the common kobold: being equipped with zeroBaldur's Gate LOGOBG00001 Icon SoDBaldur's Gate:

Gameplay[]

  • Since the morale breaking point of summoned Kobold Commandos is zero, they are never object of morale failure during combat.
  • In the Enhanced Editions, summoned Kobold Commandos net zero experience and drop no items when killed.
