Jergal, also known as Lord of the End of Everything, used to be a lawful neutral demi deity of strife, death and the dead.
He is the predecessor of Bhaal, Bane and Myrkul, who are known as the Dead Three. Before they came into power, he lived in the Gray Wastes in the Castle of Bone. He ruled in this office for many thousands of years feeding on the discord of mortals and powers alike and welcoming all things to him as hate and power-lust took their lives, but eventually Jergal grew weary of his office. When the then mortal Dead Three came to take his power, he surrendered it to them willingly and became Myrkul's seneschal. He played no role in the Time of Troubles and it is unknown if he even still exists.

Trivia[]
- Many members of the Baldur's Gate III community believe Withers is actually Jergal due to his dialogue, "What is the worth of a single mortal's life?", as well as 3D art and concept art of the character being labelled as Jergal during development.
