Incendiary Cloud is an 8th level wizard spell that subjects a creature to continuous fire damage while they're in the area of effect.

Description[]

This spell creates a billowing cloud of roaring flame. Any in the area of the spell must leave the cloud immediately or suffer 1d4 points of fire damage per level of the caster each round while in the area of effect, with a Save vs. Spell for half.

Gameplay[]

This is an area of effect spell with a fiery cloud animation within. Each round the fire damage effect will be applied to creatures within the AoE.

Magic resistance can block its effects (check each round exposed). A Zone of Sweet Air will remove the cloud from the map.

This spell is, theoretically, the most damaging spell in the game, with a total damage potential of 800. However, this would require the damaged creature to be within the original 15-ft radius for the entirety of the 1 turn (60 seconds) the spell is active. In addition, Incendiary Cloud deals fire damage, which is very commonly resisted.

Where to obtain its scroll[]

This item can be obtained as random treasure. In addition to sources listed below, it can be found on creatures and in containers randomly.
