Hindra Jae'llat is a Drow Priestess that resides within the family house along with several family members and guards. If you enter the Jae'llat Home all inhabitants will be hostile, knowing that their warded door has been breached. A battle for survival will ensue. Expect no quarter. She is on the lower platform along with Ist'tar Jae'llat and several female Jae'llat Guard warriors.

Gameplay[]

Hindra begins the scenario on the lower platform. Her opening self preparatory buffs (which cannot be interrupted) include Death Ward, Bless, Strength of One and Defensive Harmony. Note that these allied friendly AoE spells will also buff her nearby guard companions (of which there are 6 on the platform with her).

Hindra may also cast Physical Mirror and Cloak of Fear on herself.

When she detects a party member, she has several options to attack with divine magic, including Bolt of Glory, Slay Living, Miscast Magic, Dolorous Decay, Mental Domination, and others.

She will likely cast True Seeing if any party members are invisible, and she will cast Mass Cure and Mass Healing if herself or allies are damaged to a certain threshold. She will attempt a Heal on self if reduced to 10% of her original HP.

Hindra may also summon assistance in the form of Animate Dead creatures.

If pressed into close quarters combat, she will resist with her relatively good armor class and Drow Flail. Many hostile spells may fail against her, as she has very high magic resistance.

Installation of the Sword Coast Stratagems mod makes a few changes to this creature. Her weapon proficiencies are corrected to 1 pip in flail and 1 pip in single weapon style. The Wizard Spell version of Symbol, Fear (wizard) is removed. A complete compliment of divine spells is memorized from levels 1 through 7. Some of the spells are different than the unmodded creature. A default SCS cleric AI script is installed for "Smarter Cleric" behavior. An SCS random treasure is in the creature's inventory as well. Hindra will now aggressively cast as many spells as possible unless disrupted or killed. She will heal herself, cast True Seeing and self-buffs, and summon creatures.

With SCS Hindra will launch a group of preparatory protections (cast previously) including: Regeneration, Blade Barrier, Armor of Faith, Draw Upon Holy Might (spell), Physical Mirror, Free Action (spell), and Chaotic Commands.

From this point on, further clerical spell casting choices are driven by the AI's threat assessment and party vulnerability evaluations. Various offensive spells such as Unholy Blight and Slay Living are valid options. Various disabling spells such as Doom, Mental Domination, Silence, 15' Radius, and Symbol, Stun are in play.

She will use Sanctuary on self if she meets certain conditions, as well as heal if original HP are reduced to 60% (can be done twice). She also will attempt to remove hostile clouds with Zone of Sweet Air. Mass Healing, Bless, Defensive Harmony, Remove Fear and other buffs will be used to support allied companions.

If the Spell Revisions Mod is installed, the drow's memorized spells will be the SR versions.

With the Golem Construction for Spellcasters mod, a "Perfect Clay Golem" is placed in bodyguard position adjacent to Hindra. This golem is tougher than a usual Clay Golem.
