Halberd +2 is an enchanted weapon. It deals 1d10 +2 points of piercing damage, has +2 THAC0 and a speed factor of 7. The weapon is 3 lbs lighter than a normal halberd. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and this item will probably appear in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. It's for sale at the Adventurer's Mart and is dropped by Reviane. In Throne of Bhaal it is sold at the Tankard Tree and by Karthis al-Hezzar.
In Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear it is briefly possible to obtain this item from crusaders from the cut-scene just before the portal to Avernus is opened in the portal room in the Dragonspear Castle Basement.
Although even though this item can be obtained in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear without cheats; it is quite hidden and not obvious to do so. A sort of portal door clip is required. Where a party member is 'forced' though the locked door into the portal room before the cut-scene is triggered by dialog. This door clip could be an exploit but it can be done without using cheats and it can be done with various methods in an unmodified game. Then from there multiple traps (such as Skull Trap) must be placed (on top of one another) where the crusaders will spawn during the portal opening cut-scene. A party member must then trigger the cut scene via dialog on the castle basement side of the still locked portal room door. If enough traps were placed effectively before the cut-scene starts, the crusaders will spawn in during the cut-scene and be killed by the traps.
The cut-scene crusaders in the portal room of the Dragonspear Castle Basement drop many magical +1 and +2 weapons and armour; as well as various magical potions, ammunition, wands and mage robes. Some of these magical items include a Composite Longbow +1, Studded Leather Armor +2 (BG2 v2), Chain Mail +2, Quarterstaff +2, a duplicate of the Short Sword +2 The Whistling Sword and a Battle Axe +3. Some magical items may even be unique and or first encounters of said items within Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear; this is the case for this Halberd +2.
